went to start my car this morning, and the AUTO heat turned on. it turned on full blast at 83 degrees. i couldn't turn it off, make it lower, anything. its just stuck on AUTO. radio, navi aren't working at all. tried turning the radio on through the steering wheel controls, nothing. the fan speed, since its on auto, got lower on its own. but i couldn't turn it off. got to the point where i had to crack open a window, in this weather!

is this a bad fuse? or a circuit board issue? i'm out of warranty, since its a 2004 X.

any help is appreciated

 

It is a common problem with the Bose headunit. The ac controls are integrated into the radio circuit board, once it starts to go out it's time to get a new head unit. Check the Audio/Video/Electronics forum for more info.

Unfortunately Inifinti made changing out the head unit expensive for us G owners
