Spark Plugs at 60K

Hey guys, my car is about to hit 60K miles in the next month or so. Should I be proactive and change the plugs? If I do end up changing the plugs, should I also change the coils? The car is an '03.

It doesn't hurt to change it. I change my at 65K because my warranty was getting ready to expire and I wanted to find out if I had oil leaking into my sparkplug. It was so I had the dealer replace the valve cover under warranty. You could leave the coils.

It does say to change at 100K, but our cars are known for faulty valve cover, so if you wait to 100K, the damage could be worst than finding it early.

+2 on changing early. I changed mine out at 48k. The idle smoothed out a bit with the new plugs in.

The car comes with NGK platinums. Some people replace them with NGK iridiums. The upper hand hasn't been proved for either plug.

I changed out my GF's sedan ( 86K ) & my coupe (97K) and they NEEDED new plugs..
And they were BOTH original.. we're getting SLIGHTLY better gas milage and a bit smoother idle... most importantly the plugs were REALLY hard to get out, lots of carbon up the threads due to ( I assume ) being a bit to loose on install.. but new plugs & anti seize took care of that.
