Would this be considered normal?

Everytime I park my car(07, g coupe/AT), no matter where it is, it makes clicky noises that seem to come from underneath the car. I searched long thru the forums and couldn't find anything on this problem.

Sometimes at idle, I can hear the popping sounds. My old car, a buick lacrosse, only made that noise at the exhaust because the metal was contracting being cooled off. So i don't know if its still the exhaust that causes it, or if its something else.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Clicky noises are typically exhaust components heating up/cooling off. One thing I could recommend is to drive the car and get it to normal operating temps then see if you can hear the same noises at idle. If you can still hear these noises at idle, then you have to determine if the noise is either engine RPM sensitive or vehicle speed sensitive.

I can't speak for G's as I'm still looking to buy one, but if RPM sensitive, then I would be looking at the tranny or torque converter as culprits. If the noise is vehicle speed sensitive, then look at driveshaft/rear end.

Hope this helps in some way.
