Time has come to replace the radiator since it was done serving me for good 7 years.
I knew Koyo will have the best fitment but since the money was my restraining order I decided to go with cheaper alternatives.
Got a Blackworks radiator for 03 sedan. A Mishimoto fan shroud kit was purchased too.
I installed the fan controller and the shroud kit onto the radiator and tried my best to fit it in to the radiator slot.
but it seems like the condensor lines are in the way.
I bought a Mishimoto rad for my bro's coupe so I asked him for a test fitting then carefully tried but still the condensor lines are in the way. kinda gave up on the installation for now and looking around answers instead. The size and the lines look pretty much identical between blackworks and mishimoto. Mishimoto seems to be having upper hands on welding quality
Should I remove the rad support to drop the new radiator in or something???

I bought a PWR 56mm radiator ( which needs some work ) ...
I have to replace the forward A/C lower brackets and helicoil the top bosses
( they used steel screws in the aluminum bosses )

The both rads have about the same spec(better welds on mishimoto). What do you mean by replacing the forward lower ac brackets, mike?
tried it again this afternoon.
Mishimoto drops in after some struggling.
Blackworks does not. It now has some gap between the rad and the condenser about 0.5" in the driverside. not sure if it's the condenser piping or something may be on the way. I'm now thinking about bending the piping or something to get it into the correct spot.
However, the passenger side fits pretty nicely.
And as for the fan wiring, I decided to go without the thermostatic switch. Instead, I hook it up to the 4 cables that runs to the aux fan so I can delete the aux fan then install a stand alone trans cooler with a fan on it.
For fan 1(driver's side) I wired green then grounded black/yellow. so it controls low temp
For fan 2(Passenger side) Pink then again grounded another black/yellow wire.
So now the mishimoto fan shroud kit controls engine cooling and takes care of the AC control too. Now I finally have sufficient space to install this derale electra cool trans cooler with thermostat switch without relocating the horns.
So with PWR rad, the whole thing doesn't line up or just one side, Mike?
