Random cooling question

2003 G35 coupe 98 K.
NO previous owner history.
All new fluids, Cooling system burped.
Lower belly pan installed.
New STOCK radiator( not Nissan though ).
Stock cooling fans 100% ( plus support electrical ).

When running the A/C and in stop N go traffic.. I will get into an episode of the temp increases to just under 2/3rd's on the dash gauge. I shut the A/C off drive a bit more....
Turn the A/C back on.. things are fine ( this would be about the time it would take for the stat to open & close 5-6 times ) things are still fine.. maybe 20 min and it might do it again, might not....

It doesn't seem to be speed related in a sence... it has done it at speed 2 X

It never goes ABOVE 2/3rds....

So when Infiniti's T stat's get old.. do they hang?

Thanks
Mike

replace your thermostat, make certain there are no air bubbles in the cooling system. when temp rises, turn on heater on the way with full fan speed, see if temp drops. if so then for certain the thermostat is defective.
