Some questions

Hi guys! I am new to this forum and I just got a 2008 G35x-S.
I had a couple of questions, maybe a can get an answer. I hope I chose the right forum section.

I have an ipod/Itouch/iphone aux input and the manual said that it charges the device also, but it doesn't. I checked the list of supported device and my ITouch is in the list. Maybe a wrong cable?

I have the low pressure tires light alert on. I checked the pressure on the label and it is 33 psi for all tires.
I checked they were at the correct pressure, but the light is still on.
I will check with the dealer, but do you know if is there a related problem with that?

check the spare, if all 5 tire pressures are good, its likely that you have a sensor issue. as far as the ipod cable goes, i have one to, it doesnt charge. its not designed to as far as i know

About the ipod connection (was that a stock offering in '08?). Apple changed the pinout of their dock connectors at some point in the past few years, removing the firewire charging option. That left some auto adapters unable to charge. We've got USA Spec interfaces in our '05 and '06 Gs and I had to purchase new cables for them to work with newer ipods.
Here's a simple adaptor built to address that problem (if that is your problem)...

Thanks.

Yeah, i found out about the cable. I ordered the Scosche one. My only concern is that somebody said that the sound quality drops down a lot.

Yes, the tires pressure were ok. I found out from the manual that if the light flashes for a minutes, there is a problem in the system.
So I brought the car to the dealer and they fixed it.
The problem was that if a tire pressure drops down drastically, even if you inflate it again, you will have the light on. You need to reset it and only the dealer can.

That adaptor should not effect the sound quality. The only thing it does is shift the power to the new pin, the audio should still be directly connected (fully hi-fi).

Glad you got the TPS reset. I don't think the spare tire is included in the monitoring. I had a flat and once and the light stayed on with my full size spare. But the next day after getting the tire repaired and remounted the light went out after about 10 minutes of driving. The dealer has a tool to "activate" the senders in each tire so maybe that's what you needed.

I can confirm the spare tire doesn't have a sensor. I checked in the manual.
