Dash lit up like a xmass tree!!! HELP!!!

so...i start my 03 g35 coupe and i look at the dash and ABS light is on as well as SLIP and VDC OFF. at the same time i find out my brake lights dont work. i go to the infiniti dealer and they want to wack me $2000 saying it is an issue with pressure sensor system/main actuator needs to be changed. i dont believe it!!!!!! anybody willing to share their knowledge? PLEASE!!!!!

thx everybody for fast response and ur ideas were very usefull. i went back to dealer and they fixed my brake lights saying there was a short or something. so thats done but im not gonna pay $2000 to fix it im gonna get the second opinion. so i got them to give me the codes C1142 and paid just for brake lights and left. 1 mile down the road(highway) as im driving my wheel locked up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i pulled over and called those bastards and now they start telling me some bs stories that if i did the $2000 fix this wouldnt happen(i was driving it just fine for a week before)anyway i called some people and got redirected to a local shop that specializes more in software than mechanical part of cars. theyre really busy so i got to wait till tuesday for some answers but right away they said as i quoted some of your guys ideas that its possible and they wittnessed them too. by the way the wheel locked up sooo bad i had to tow it. well thanks again and i will keep u all posted

ask them to see what ABS code that pulled with Consult, and to see the print out. It should only take them a minute or two to produce this print out. That will tell you right away if it even could be that. Also, it will show them that your not a car idiot that they can bully. Good Luck

Get the codes that the ecu is giving from there you can get an answer.

Ask your dealership for the code or have them print it out.

abs actuator was my problem when my dash lit up like a christmas tree... but my car is still under warranty so they replaced everything for free. also check your brake fluid...wheel bearing.. the usual.. another thing that caused my abs lights to go off last time was a short in my spoiler light. everytime it shorted, the fuse blew and my lights went out. keep us updated!

Common issue for this is brake fluid is low, or you need to change your brake pads.

It could also be huge difference in tire/wheel sizes recently changed that?

Or you crankshaft sensor isn't starting your car up strong enough (if your car starts fine then ignore this)

This issue happened to me shortly in my '04 sedan after installing my aftermarket stereo a few years back... scared the hell out of me but nothing came of it... turned the car off and on a few times and it went away.

Check these things, in this order:
1. Brake fluid
2. Brake pads, may be low and cause low fluid.
3. Tire wear
4. ABS/Speed sensors.

If its none of those, check back on here and provide more info. I just solved my ABS/VDC/SLIP light problem after two years of lazy trouble shooting. PM me if you need more info. Good luck!

Oh, also as soon as the lights come on, go to autozone and have them pull the code. If in fact it is an ABS sensor, it will pop up on their code reader.
