so i had a base dyno to see what my power and torque ratings were and while the car was running the tuner heard detonation in 6k-7k rpm range . is there a way to defeat this issue with running a hks f-con or something similar to that ?

 

No need for an Fcon, especially since only a handful of people can even tune them.

Check your spark plugs, NGK LFR6AIX-11 are awesome, 1 step colder than stock.

Look up Osiris by Uprev.

 

An Osiris reflash will allow you to reprogram your fuel tables like this:


As well as remove the WOT restriction, set the rev/speed limiters, timing, disable codes, etc.

I had planned on gettin an uprev tune once I had all the bolt on mods done them go from there. I was wondering of there was anything I could do in the mean time to some what eliminate that issue. Like an adjustable fuel pressure regulator or a wide band a/f gage to see if it's running lean or rich. I'm getting ready to order the mrev2 an iso thermal spacer set Friday and maybe the art pipes if I have enough.

 

If they heard detonation that means that its running lean... trust me Osiris will do wonders for you, even more than any of those other mods. You can always adjust it later on when you get more mods

 

So do the Osiris tune the bolt on the planned mods and have a retune would be better then doing the mods then getting the tune. My base dyno was 248 whp and 218 trq. How much would it change those numbers with a tune ?
