Gas Gauge Issues

Gas Gauge Issues
I started a thread but in the wrong section.....

Gas gauge does not go below 1/4 tank, yesterday the wife ran out of gas. Gauge was showing half tank, then would go down to 1/4 tank. I put 6 gallons in and it showed almost a full tank. I tried the Q_TIP DIY last night and still has the problem. Any other ideas? Do I need to replace the sending units?

It could be the Fuel Sending unit. not 100% sure though but I suggest have the car diagnosed to find out the real problem.

I just pick up locally both sending units from an 05 sedan, for $60. Going to install tonight.
