Check Engine Soon!

Hey so recently my Check Engine Soon light when on and recently after uplugging the battery for a few hours to reset the ECU my airbag light goes off. The Check Engine light is gone, and it's been about 30 miles or so. I'm familiar with the method of resetting the airbag light (turning the key on and off) and that has proved successful in the past and it'll typically go away for a few weeks. But now it'll only go away for a few miles. Any suggestions?

check the code at any local auto parts store and see what's causing the light to go on.

Check the code?

You might actually have a problem.

Resetting my ECU actually fixed the Check Engine light, but as for the airbag light I'm yet to find a solution. My friend mentioned something about a recall from the dealership to reset it but I'm completely lost as to what he means...

Well, resetting the ECU doesn't "fix" a check engine light. It just erases it from memory. If there is an issue, it will come back. If it does, go to Autozone and have the code read for free and troubleshoot it.

As for the airbag light, there is a recall for the passenger seat weight harness that turns off the passenger airbag. If your car hasn't had the recall performed, id suggest making an appointment as this may fix your airbag light issue (it's a common reason)
