2007 G35 Overheating? Temp Gauge Goes From Normal to High to Normal
Hello Everyone,
I am having a problem where my temperature gauge goes from normal to all the way hot and back to normal. Here is what I have noticed and a bit about my car:
*Temp reads normal when accelerating or driving at highway speeds
*Temp spikes when decelerating or at a stop. Usually goes to the max temp reading.
*Coolant flush done 1 year ago
*Had this problem 6 months ago and Pep Boys said it was a loose radiator cap. They replaced the cap and the problem was fixed until about a month ago.
*Car is a 2007 G35 Journey with 159,000 miles.
*Coolant level appears normal
*No strange noises coming from car and no observed fluid leaks.
Any thoughts on what this might be? Thanks!

Solved
So this was a simple one and falls into the "Duh" category. My coolant level was low so after refilling it, no more issues. I thought I would have received some type of warning indicator but apparently not. Now the question is why did my coolant level fall after having the car checked 6 months ago. I will be looking for leaks, especially around the water pump.
I will leave this posted in case anyone else has similar symptoms.
