Overall, you are not being ripped off at all. It is a bit high, but no shops sell parts at cost. You should ask them if the same labor rates apply if you bring your own parts. Then just buy off site vendor and save some cash.
One of the VERY FEW things me and this guy agree on.

No, it's fair. Yes you can save money by DYI, but if you don't feel confident enough to do the work, it's best to let the professionals do it. I do a lot of my own work, but I know when to let the guys that have the equipment and the skills to step in.

I have found some shops won't guarantee their work unless they provide the parts. Find another shop. it's just a ploy to make more $$$

I fully understand that policy. I have a couple friends that own shops near me and customer sourced parts are commonly an issue. Just because a customer orders parts, doesnt mean he ordered the correct ones. Often customer orders what is cheapest and not always what is correct and they dont fit. Then shop is stuck with a car that is half torn down on their lift, with parts that dont fit. It isnt ONLY about the money.

Gary thank you for the heads up I will def. black that out next time.
DBA or Stoptech is there a big difference what do you think? ill get DBA if they are "better" for daily driving.
I'm still on my DBA rotors I installed 45K miles ago using HAWK HPS pads without issues!

Because they're better and your shop can only go by experience?

I've never used stoptech so I can just recommend what I know works on my ride. You could save a few $$ by not buying the brake lines since you're not spending weekends on the track.
