Wife left car door open can’t start car

She’s running
If you're not lucky enough to have the Auto Club invest in a pair of jumper cables then you can charge your battery off another car, negative to negative/positive to positive! Since it's really dead you may need to charge it for 15 minutes or more to bring it back to life.

Had a flatbed haul her to the dealership. It was the master fuse and post terminal. I also got a new battery just in case. Relieved it was only $199 rather than something expensive. Thanks to all who helped me.

Great point
Glad you got it running again. I'm a little surprised the fusible link blew out from having the door open. For the sake of digging a little deeper you might try replicating the issue since you now have a new battery. Leave a door open, wait 20min and ensure the system shuts off properly.
That’s a great point. I’ll give it a try when it’s a bit warmer. As you can imagine, I’m relieved she’s up and running again. Thank you for replying to my query.
