How about having Hawaii to simply have its own "Marketplace"?

We are intuned and sensative to your 'special needs' where you are located. What you have mentioned is being disussed including other things/remedies.

Please keep in mind that we (Admins) need to look at things that will affect the entire forum not just one area which your suggestion will have an effect on.

Like Colin said, hang in there we'll get it resolved for ya.

What I think may work for now is if anyone is putting up a FS thread, at the end of the subject line put in -LOCAL ONLY. We'll try to keep them up and running.

I'm subscribed to this thread so any questions or whatever, post up.

yeah a local fs forum will probably benefit us more then anyone. Reason being most mainland sellers don't want ship to hawaii due to cost and vice versa. Which is the reason why I don't bother looking at the private classifieds.

 

mahalos Neil. good to hear bah. btw, did you know, we have this local slang, "Locals Only?" it came to mind when u dropped, LOCAL ONLY. i just thought it was humorous for us Islander People! it takes us way-waaaaaay back

 

As I posted before and for now just put in caps LOCAL ONLY or something along those lines that will stand out. I've also posted this in the moderators forum so hopefully those posts will remain but if something does happen feel free to hit Colin, myself, any of the admins or super mods.

Putting in a market place sub forum maybe the easiest route to go but this may have other ramifications on Driver overall. Not to say that this maybe the final outcome.

sen_jen - I'm sure there is alot of 'local terminology' referring to us 'outsiders' ....... LOL

 

You probably can create a sub forum "Local Sales" in the Hawaii Forum and give only 808 residence permission to view it. Would have to create a new security group for the 808 peps. What an administrative nightmare. But it's just a thought.

 

How about simply have Marketplace divide into four sections; Canada, Main North America, Hawaii, and Other?

this is the only forum i've been on where the admins actually did some work. kudos to you guys. Makes me not regret paying the 30 dollars for the premier membership. Oh that and the free **** lol.

I brought the threads back and added "LOCAL ONLY" to the end. I also removed some of the posts from members on the mainland.
