Ideas For The Next Cruise: When & Where?
Ideas For The Next Cruise: When & Where?
Ok, well originally I was thinking of setting up the next meet for some time in December, but I noticed a lot of you folks expressing interest in doing one sooner. Thing is, I don't wanna do these things TOO often otherwise some folks might feel it getting old and the turnouts might end up shrinking which is the complete opposite of what I want to do here. My goal is basically for each cruise to be bigger than the last. Pretty sure we accomplished that this past Sunday.
In any case, with the positive response regarding the past cruise and the enthusiasm regarding the next, right now I'm looking at either November 11th or November 25th for our next meet. Sorry but I gotta work on the 18th so that's out. LOL. Let me know which date works better for you guys and we'll go from there. I'll set a firm date within a week after I get some responses from you guys.
As for a where...well I know Hinano and I were interested in mopping up burgers at Hale'iwa Kua'aina but I don't know if there's enough parking out there. I know there's a few lots across the street and down the road but I don't know how far of a walk it is (not like I go out there every day). I'm also down to do a West Side run out to Yoks but I don't know how many of you guys would be willing to go "out there." In any case, let me know what you guys think of a Kua'aina run and also feel free to throw out any ideas of your own. As with the date, I'll set something firm within a week after I get some feedback from you folks.

Maybe we can do a meet up @ keehi lagoon park(or somewhere central w/ lotsa parking), hit H3 from Red Hill/Halawa, head east to either Kailua or Waimanalo/Hawaii kai, stop @ a Teddy's Bigger Burgers(since burgers seem to be the next theme
) then head back out either to town via Kalanianaole/Diamond Head or back onto H3 via Sandy's/Waimanalo then go back circle island to Matsumotos and get some shave ice...?
Oh, and gotta bring video camera next time and get some good rolling shot footage of all the cars! I'm thinking maybe setting up a camera at a nice curve @ norfolk/13 turns and have everyone drive by.

what about kicking it with the paradise cruisers at kapolei home depot and pc wallmart? I hung out with the titan guys this weekend and it was pretty chill. the environment hits really close to home since I was always close to the race track. the sounds, the sights, and the smell of race gas in the air...can't get any better. It would really be cool to see the VIP side of the car industry make an appearance there. Everyone there that I have met have been very respectful. I think it was the stigma that it was stricken for the hotrods. I can tell you that it's not. It's for everyone on cars, trucks and, bikes.
this is their remainding schedule:
Breakers in Haleiwa
November 17th
December 15th
Wal Mart Pearl City
December 1st
Home Depot Kapolei
November 24th
December 22nd
At least when the cops come and kick everyone out, they're civil about it. Unlike the RS cruises where it just gets crazy.
