the floor of the trunk floor is only made strong enough to hold a spare tire and a some stuff that fit in your trunk, so i dont think its a SUPER important structural element. The fiberglass is only there to seal the crack.

He may have a cracked the sheetmetal in your G, but it wasn't from a pair of 10s.
i guess on forums its easy to doubt people, but its all good on the next cruise i show all the hawaii people the results. shoots shut em down CLEAR!

unibody vehicles do not have a frame and the body panels actually become the structural elements of the vehicle. remove a panel and you'll lose a lot of torsional rigidity. The floor of the trunk is doing a lot more then simply holding up the spare tire.
