yup sound deaden it helps a lot. get the rear deck area, trunk hatch, trunk sides, doors that makes the most difference. I still get a little bit from the sunglasses area and something in the glove box area. They make a gasketing foam (Cascade VB5) which is about 1/16" thick use that in addition on areas where the trim panel meets body parts that helps a lot.
what you might be hearing is the vents in the rear side of the trunk. take out the trunk liner and you'll see it.
in this pic you can see the vent, it's at the top of the pic, a rectangle plastic flap. remove the vent frame and replace with silicone to body of car. make sure the vent can still move freely to releave cabin pressure when you close the doors.

in this pic you can see I used foam seat cushing in front of the vent. The vent still can funcition but the foam slows down the air so it wont rattle. There's foam all around the trunk because I removed the spare and reconfigured the trunk to make more room. The foam was used to shape and smoothen out the trunk sides. you don't need all that, just put a sheet in front of the vent.

just the sunglass holder and something in the glove box area. before trunk was bad but after all the sound deadening I put in it's good. it took a long time to do the whole car, maybe a month working on weekends but it was worth it. it's much quieter too.

Like everyone else said Dynamat/sound deaden the he11 out of it. Trunk, rear seat area, deck. Also hit up spots where plastic attaches to metal or vice versa.
After that turn up a song with some deep notes and get outside and listen to your car. If you hear rattles, try and make them stop by pressing in the areas they sound like they're coming from. After you think you've found them all, put some more dynamat down there. Then repeat the test again.
Nothing worse than seeing a nice car pull up hittin and as they drive by it sounds like they've got empty soda cans in the trunk.

So i finally figured out why my car was rattling so much. i took the car to progressive auto where i got my custom sub floor, to get it hush or accumated because the rattling was ridiculous. To make a long story short they called me and said that the subs cracked my trunk floor and so the pressure in the box was leaking and rattling the exhaust system. I took the car in and got the floor fiberglassed and the difference is incredible. I would say the bass boosted up about 60% and the rattling is about 85% gone. crazyness.

not feeling that one. I am a former dB Drag veteran, and I've seen and built alot of very seriously loud vehicles and I am having a hard time beleiving that a pair of Alpine 10s are going to crack the sheetmetal floor of the G.
He may have a cracked the sheetmetal in your G, but it wasn't from a pair of 10s.
maybe he meant the box cracked, so they just laid down more fiberglass. That would be nuts if the trunk floor actually cracked and if it did, fiberglass is no way to repair a structural element of the car.

brah believe what ever you want to believe but they built the sides and the top of the box on the floor of the trunk and maybe it was on a seem or whatever but it cracked the floor. and i dont have 10s i have two 12 inch type Xs and one thousand watt amp(Alpine PDX-1.1000). i gotta put one more thousand watt amp in next month because my one amp is not cutting it. The Type Xs can handle 1000 watts each. But anyway i not trying to make like i did an amazing feat just that im happy my subs sound how they supposed too. It was probably cracked at a seam in the floor. its just amazing how much of a difference it made patching up the crack. no more rattling and lots of bass. shoots
