anyone worried about gas prices?

just wondering if anyone here is worries about the future gas prices. I heard by April gas should be about $5 /gal. Any concern and is there any way to make the G run more efficiently by tuning etc.?

Whats everyone's opinion about this?

It looks like it's time for all of the G-ppl to band together and steal and hoard gas like in mad max. LOL! Other things we can do is probably easing up on the gas pedal more. Have as many cruises before the price goes up. You could probably tune the car to use less gas but you will also lose performance. I still like my 1st idea. whose down for becoming gas hoarding nomads(minus the leather assless chaps)?

If it was $5/gal then I would be hurting.

Everything for the past few years has been fluctuations of around 50 cents (at least here in DC/Nova), which doesn't bother me at all. If I don't eat at a fast food place one time a week, I make up the extra money spent on gas and more. No big deal.

Its times like this I almost wish I followed my original plan to buy a yaris haha.. but the G is a sweet car and im happy I went this route. But gas prices skyrocketing is still my concern.. I was thinking maybe with a better tune it wont bog and eat as much gas from a stop? and also the ecu might not run as rich to compensate due to cunfusion?

Gas Saving Tips!!!!

1. Carpool

2. Put Gas between the hours of 4am and 8 am .
why ? because the fuel is cool and not hot like around 12- 4 pm . Gasoline expands so you will get less for your money .

3. Any time our motors go over 60 mph they guzzle like a kid drinking koolaid after playing a game.

4. watch your foot on the gas . I know the VQ sounds but be easy.

5. if its too much for you trade in your G and get a prius that thing gets around 60 mpg but you wont get any hooters in a prius

Not only do we pay more at the pump, but everything else that needs transportation goes up.

The gas prices suck for sure... but I have nothing to complain about, I only fill the car up maybe once every 3 weeks. Plus my last car was a huge SUV that cost about $100 to fill up when gas was at $3 a gallon... so for me, the G is a bargain!

If gas was 5.00 a gallon I would probally just ride my motorcycle to work all your round and save my vacation and sick time for snow days. But all seriousness this is getting ridiculous. I feel bad for the FI'd people who have to use a certain octane.
