as i was passing HK boat harbor, i seen the guys there so i stopped to see what was going on...3 nsx's, 1 '05 g35 coupe (scott), 1 g35 sedan, and like 3 supra's.

as we left at the stop light, three cars got stopped by the police, a civic ?, a supra who came late and myself. the cop just blocked us in and asked for all the usuals, license, reg, insurance. seemed like he wanted to break the bank and make his quota on me right there but musta been he knows someone i know, or someone else asked him to let us go cause he let me go and gave the guy with the civic a ticket, i think he might of let the supra go as well.

anyways thanks to the guardian angel, whomever you are and thanks to that cop, seemed like a dick at first but turned out to be a cool guy, just doing his job i guess.

One of my friends on the cruise happened to be a cop as well. Your lucky he turned around. My friend in the civic wasn't so lucky.

he said he was going to let everyone go but he already started writing the guy in the civic a ticket, so he had to give him one. sorry that he had to get a ticket, that sucks.

Yeah man that was me (Dave) who came back to talk to that officer. I'm glad you were able to get out of a ticket. Anything to help. I was hoping you would have came along on the cruise. But it's all good. It was nice to see the G35 peeps who showed up for the cruise!

Sup Paul! I thought you looked familiar. I use to go to Hypers a lot before and know Art as well. Rode dirt bike with Art a couple of times as well. But I thought I saw you somewhere before. Maybe I saw you when you were tinting with Art. Well like I said before, I was just glad that I could help out!

guess i lucked out, musta just left before all that went down. i'm not sure why the cops would bother 10 cars that aren't doing anything wrong or burning out in parking lots and such.

That's what I was wondering. We were just chillin'. And I know that no one complained because we wern't doing anything except for talking. Plus my two buddies that got stopped (the civic and the supra) said that the officer came across as a dick in the begining. I mean I know that some officers are dicks but to this day I don't get why. I try to treat everyone with respect first and foremost. If they act disrespectful to me then I'll still remain professional but definatly won't cut them any slack. But if they are respectful then I try to cut them as much of a break as I can. But thats just how I am I guess.......

i think it depends on alot of things,
like if their friends or they work in the same area, or if they went to the academy together.

it's like a 'you do me and i do you' kinda thing...if the cop pulling you over knows the cop that you know then your cop friend will "owe him a favor".

when my brother in law went to buy more liquor for my wedding reception, he got pulled over a block from the party. i had two cop friends that were at my wedding and they called the cops that stopped my brother and they let him go...crazy azz was pretty drunk and really lucky.

i don't like to drop names cause i don't want my friends owing favors for my stupid azz...if i'm gonna drive a modded car then that's my kuleana, right?

alot of times though, you will probably try dropping names and the cop stopping you will be like "AND WHAT". u still going get the citations.
