Totally understand what you're going through. They take a lot of patience and time. Unfortunately I can't help right now, I'm still several thousand miles off of Oahu.

I had a spray bottle of soapy water, at least a 50/50 mix. I also used a hair dryer and a credit card. I don't recommend the credit card unless you've done decal or vinyl installations and you know how much pressure to use. Small squegees work well, or you can try and buy a tool off of a tint or vinyl shop. I don't think Checkers sells them though.

You said you had to stretch them? That doesn't sound right. If anything you'll be using the hair dryer to "shrink" the curves.

The big thing is to keep it very very wet. If it's not dripping, it's not wet enough. As long as it's wet, you can make all kinds of mistakes, but once it starts drying it adheres and your screwed.

ive put on vinyls before but this was wayy harder. used the soap and water and all. would have worked out ok, but i had trouble when it came to stretching the edges. also the light holes did not exactly line up right. maybe i just got a bad cut. but I think these are a little too hard for me to do myself.

I did one of them by myself and it came out good but i was very frustrated. I took it to mike at GX Auto and he put the others on for me. Lets just say they came out alright but he didnt have much fun doing it.

Did mine myself. It's a liquid soap and water deal..............you will also need a nice sharp razor blade.

Bat's stuff do not fit perfectly, you will need to trim some of the material. Dry fit first, then make small cuts to trim off the excess material.

I tired the whole soap and water deal myself. seems mine needed a lot of stretching so it eventually got messed up.

i just finished installing them on mine, and the best tip is to honestly flood the area with soap and water...

I didn't use a spray bottle to apply it, instead i used a sponge and some soap/water and generously applied it to the area. The key thing is to not dry up where you want it placed, and keep adding more soap/water to wherever you need to place it. You shouldn't need to "stretch" it. Use the hairdryer ONLY when you have it placed in the perfect position.

After you have the position you want, squeegie out the soap and hit it with heat.
After everything is dry, get an XACTO Blade, and carefully trim around what you may need to trim. For example, I had to do some minor trimming around the center spots on mine.

Make sure nothing gets under the vinyl before you heat it up, little bits of gravel would get stuck in my overlays, and it pissed me off because i would have to take them off and start over!

I'll post some pics in a sec to show the finished result

thanks! I guess the secret to it is the trimming. I was wondering why they didnt fit perfectly.
