I wanted to get a Nikon..too expensive though. Instead i got a Fuji SF1000x. Its pretty decent, and its good for beginners as well. I like it. the price is pretty good too, I got mine for $219.00

 

I shot all these pics with a point and shoots sony so nothing amazing just giving you some locations.
