Road noise?!?!

I recently bought an 03 G coupe and it has alot of road noise from 0 - about 30mph or so. I'm not sure if this is normal, maybe the tires are not the best on it, or it used to be lowered and supposedly it was raised and aligned by the dealer I bought it from?!?! I mean it sounds like an off road truck to about 30 or so. I plan to lower, camber, and align it in the near future but it's my wife's daily driver, she loves it, wants it lowered and I need to know if I should tell her to expect the noise forever?!?!? Thanks! And for any that go to the New Years Show Off 2011 at the Aloha Stadium I'll be the haole asking questions!!!

If it has Bridgestone RE050s on it, and they are worn, it will sound just like that!! Some other tires are bad for that, too, that's likely all it is.

My OEM Bridgestones got loud like that. General UHP are very loud too. Just an FYI.

Yeah the tires that are on it aren't too wore but they're Nexen brand(i've never heard of them) so i figured the tires probably aren't the best make or compound. When I lower it I hope to put new Pirelli skinz on it!

I've had an 03 for almost 8 years and it's never had a lot of road noise.

I think you're right, the tires are garbage. My Michellins would get rough as they wore but were never loud.

For the showoff, we had 4 coupes enter I think, maybe 5.

lol yeah i don't get that with my NT555s they may have flat spots if it sat for too long. but i would say have a shop check the balance and alignment too.
