New Wheels

I was browsing the forums, and thought I'd try this. I like the look of the stock wheels, but wasn't sure if I would like them in gold. So before I spent some money on powder coating, thought I'd see how they would look in person first. I know not everyone will like this, but I like it. Also, I know I need spacers and a drop.

They look a lot better in the pics than in person. I did a sh!tty job

If I may ask, what brand/shade of gold is that? What was the prep process beforehand?
Nice shade of gold you got there.

I'll get pics of the cans I used when I get home, if i remember. But, it was the rust-oleum stuff from home depot. I actually used plasti dip as the primer, so it peels right off. I didn't want to make it permanent, I just wanted to see what it would look like in person. I'm planning on getting it powder coated later.

Here are the posts I followed. Home depot only had black plasti dip, the black shows through the gold a little. Trust me, my wheels don't look good when you look up close in person.

If you wanna make it last, you gotta scuff the wheels, and use a different primer. Oh, and and disclaimer if you do try this, don't blame me if it doesn't come out right. I would practice on something else first

About your Plastidip Rays

Hey bro, I was wondering how many coats of plastidip, paint, and enamel did you use? Do you have any other pictures of your gold rims? Thanks
