UR Crank Pulley

Just a few questions on this Pulley.
Who has this Pulley?
Where was it purchased from?
Who installed it?
What is your impression with them?
Last question: Will this affect my charging system?

Sorry for all the questions and I know there is alot of discussion on it but alot of you know what type of driving I do and can tell me if it worth doing the mod.

Thanks

You might want to do a search on the modifications forums.

There were issues in regards to the harmonic dampning of the motor and something about the balance shafts. I am not really positive.....so I would suggest a little more reasearch from the guys who are running them. From what I understand the better bang for the buck might be the Crawford intake plenum though.

Anyhow, there are places like performancenissanparts that bring in the pulleys. Their prices are usually pretty fair. You might want to ask Speedgear if they can install these. They tore apart their G and put it back together again.

If that is not what you are looking for...then go F.I.

Yeah, I try to keep up with all the news but just getting itchy to do another mod. I'll look more into the Plenum. Know where the best deals is at?

Hmmm, F.I. now thats something I'm going to have to think about.

I have it in a box with the belts sitting in my garage.
I plan on installing it in the next month or so when work settles a little. I plan on havnig it installed by a local shop in Kawaihae though....Thunder Alley.

I have read the vast thread on the pulley that circulated here on this site a few months ago.
I bought mine from Stillen.com.
I should have some opinions about it in a couple months.

I read up on that thread regarding long term use of the crank pulley. it's supposed to be bad for your crank in long term use, say..over 20 years? I forget. Suffice to say, nothing lasts forever...in 20 years..parts for the VQ could be cheaper. Hard to say because when I had my old 85 t-type, parts from AC Delco was ugly expensive. how's $1,000 for a new AC Delco factory electronic braking system sound?

I'd say the UR Pulleys are a good investment. why? Fun Factor always prevails.
