I almost got a Black on Black though.
Wife didn't like the fact that it was in the showroom and everyone and their mama sat in it.

you can get away with recon, i've gotten away with worse.
my car before the G35 was an 86 Buick T-Type, sorta like a Grand National. Although it doesnt share the prestige the Grand National has, in many ways the T-Type is better. Anyway...my car was pretty modified in and out, and it would cause an ear infection to those who were around it. The front suspension had been lowered 5" with beltech spindles and used 2" Eibach sportline springs. The front sways were replace with 1-5/8" thick swaybars, as with the rear swaybar. the rear springs were cut 1 coil and plates were welded to conform to springs pods (or carriers) and spot welded to the rear axles pods and chassis. The shocks were all Bilsteins. So no the car sat nice an low. Tto top if off, I had 16" Weld ProStar rims, 8" in from 10" in back. The exhaust were illegal all the way. I had a full 3" system with suicide exit just before the rear passenger-side tire. sucka was loud! I used to go WOT and let the turbo scream just to see the reactions of other people. yah, i was a bit of a showoff. Inside, I had a 6pt rollcage w/swingouts, a 6" tachometer, and guages gallore to monitor volts, boost, engine time, exhaust temp, knock...along with a bright laptop. Not once have I been pulled over...but the car was clean. the only thing that stuck out was the ugly faded original paint.
