Mileage Questions...

Wassup everyone!

I just burned up my second full tank of gas on my 05 6-spd and was wondering about the mileage. Or lack thereof. My first tank lasted me approximately 180 miles. And my second lasted me 247. I am still babying the car during break-in so I don't understand why so few miles. Considering the nearly empty tank took 16.5 gallons, I am computing about 15 mpg. Maybe I should just drive like i normally do...with a heavy right foot. So my questions are:

How many miles do you guys average with a full tank of gas? And, does it get better with time?

Thanks in advance everyone!

Paul

i get 14 maybe 15 miles to the gallon. I've heard other people claim a lot more, but I don't buy it. No way you can get 20 plus.

i drive about 275 to 300 miles a week on a full tank of gas...well, nearly full tank cuz i dont go all the way down to the last drop or anything...i guess that puts me at a lil under 20 miles a gallon....like 19 roughly. i think its pretty good considering im not exactly babying the car or have a great respect for speed limits. i guess its from all the street racing in l.a. that i did.

1st tank about 19mpg
2nd tank about 20mpg
3rd tank about 22mpg
4th tank about 18mpg (this was the tank that was past break in heheheh)
from what I remember

I'm at 275miles with 1/4 tank left right now with 1500 on the ODO. A majority of that was highway miles, but also alot of stop and go traffic on the freeway.

Boy a 18 Gallon fill up was expensive hehehe...

The only thing that bugs me is that when the pump clicks it's still not full yet... either that or it'll click off way early and you gotta sit there half holding the nozzle to fill it all the way. But I also noticed that it maybe a pump specific type of thing... one Chevron in Hawaii Kai did that to me, but a few other Chevrons didn't.

I go about 325-350 miles per tank filling up around 18+ gallons, so my mileage is around 18mpg. I'm estatic if I get 19 mpg. it's an auto by the way.

I never really did pay attention to that stuff... I think it a good time to start... Especially with the mods that I've done...

I average about 340 miles per tank at 21 mpg. However, I'm at about 75% to 80% freeway. Last tank was almost exclusively freeway (early morning & late nights so very little traffic), I got about 24 mpg.

Thanks for the info guys. Most of you seem to get much better mileage than me. Hopefully, my mileage gets better with time. Right now, it's worse than my 03 m3 was. Maybe after break in is done, it will turn out that the G is faster than the M which would correlate the crappier mileage. I wish!

Thanks again.
