anyone with a built G35 or G35tt?

I was just wondering if anyone has a built engine in their G35 with a twin turbo setup or just a twin turbo bolt on kit. Im pretty disappointed with how my car feels. I just put my car on the dyno and tuned it for more power. Its making 382whp @ 7.5 psi and still feels like crap! Im just thinking if im expecting too much out of this car. I know its a heavy car, but damm almost every honda with a turbo kit will smoke this g35. Or maybe im just tripin.... Does anyone else feel this way about their boosted G35.

It might be that im comparing it to my other cars like my 98 civic which ran a 11:0 @ 127mph which was driven on the street. Well if there's any of you who feel this way let me know.

thanks,

try bringing your car on a track day. One of the competitors has a supercharged G35.

Look at it this way not much 350z or G35 runs in the mid-low 12s but are some. If you want something that runs in the 11s ...go w/ a really light turbo charged car like your Honda or a WRX if that matters to you that much. The VQ35 motor have been out for a few yrs and only now more and more parts are coming out, we'll eventually see more and more Zs and Gs run in the 11s. Of course you have to totally build your motor from ground up.Which equals to $$$$. Basically saying it can be done , how much $$$$ are you willing to dish out. You pay to play.

Wow, A streetable 11 second civic, good job! Were you running slicks to get that time? Anyway, the problem I see with the VQ is that, you would have to build up the motor in order to run some really low numbers. Cars that come turbo from the factory usually have overbuilt motors able to handle more power.
That being said. I have a mildly modded WRX, but prefer to drive my G most of the time.

Well i love the looks of the G35 and thats why I bought it, but it sucks knowing that some honda or v8 will smoke you on the road. Im not used to that. The G35 looks like a fast car but it cant back up its looks. Well all in all I guess im happy with it.

in a few years after the warranty expires, I'm going to rebuild te bottom end and do some light head work. hopefully by then the market for the VQ35 will be much larger.

you can make a honda faster than a g35.
you could make a pinto or geo metro faster.
can you make them look better than g35?

maybe if you take the g's headlights and taillight and modify it hehehe j/k...

I think alot of it has to do with power delivery... with the flat torque of the VQ vs peaky Honda motors...

ie with a Turbo Honda, it gives you more of a see saw effect...

even with my stock car it dosent feel faster then my old Prelude, but I know it's faster. The prelude would start really hauling in the upper rpms, where as the G deliver's it's power more evenly.

yeah i wa shaving some problems with my tt set up when i was in hawaii, but i moved to cali and got some of the problems fixed i last dynoed at 419hp/350 torque at 8 psi. i had a boost spike and couldn't have the boost hold at 6psi. and i was running like crap in hrp. i got the fuel pressure fixed and tweaked some other things, now i need to get rid of the boost spike and then take it to the tracks in cali and see waht i can pull. i feel the pain, buit i have to say the top end is great. i keep hitting the speed limiter hahahahaahah i need to get rid of that. i took it to streets of willow and the car keeps up with vetts, vipers, and porsche GT3's. so don't think that the car is slow, it can haul some ***.
