Coilovers Newbie.

nah, all you need to do is raise the rear's ride height a little, and bring down the preload. the height of the car its'elf should not change. the reason for that is because you dont want a recoil. when you launch, and weight is on the back...as soon as your gone...the back end get's light from the recoil. you want to slow down and limit the amount of travel of the shaft. add full damping in the rear, and bring down the damping (all the way down) in the front. this lets the rear "plant" the tires keeping and having a soft front lets weight transfer to the rear. you'd just have to play with tire pressure. you dont want to make your car "squat" too much. too much squat is waisted energy being made to not put weight on the wheels. although..too much damping causes wheel hop. you could go as far as removing the front swaybar too to help with weight transfer to the rear.
