This Sucks

My G's going to be in the shop for 2 weeks. IOH has to change out the short block on the engine and the float mechanism in the gas tank. Man, this majorly sucks.

It's not that bad. Just think you'll have the only car that can do 60 in reverse. A loaner car.

I got it in April of this year. The car was sucking up way too much oil for the amount of miles I put on the car. So since they didn't find a leak they think it's the short block. The gas tank would read half tank even though I know it's full. I'd drive from town to Pali Momi and it would drop down to empty. I think they should just give me the M45 to make up for it.

Well, at least you didnt modify anything so the warranty work was an easy process.

As long as you have the warranty though....I would keep it as it is. Might as well as make use of that since you are "paying" for it anyhow.

Yes an aftermarket block would be nice ...but the warranty will expire soon enough, enjoy it as it is for now.

As for me though...I have 5000 miles left on warranty..roughly. Project can officially commence very shortly.

Damn man sorry to hear about it. Any reason why it's going to take so long? At 2 weeks (80 hours @ $100/hrs) they could buy and install an entirely new motor.

God the dipstick still pissed me off lol.. mine seems to be fine, thank goo. But as long as they give you a loaner it's good... you can rack up miles on that instead of your car!
