Car Fixed

Finally got my car back. The shifting doesn't seem to be as tight as before. Sometimes it's hard for me to find 5th. Does replacing the short block do that? Sorry if I'm asking a stupid question.

It should not have an impact on the shifting unless the transmission is misaligned to the block, or the guide plates are off center. Did they change the transmission as well to the updated version? Need to ask the techs and maybe drive a demo on the lot to compare. The 03 trans is a bit rough versus the newer updated models.

You could just take it back and ask them to test it out and have them explain what was done and/or touched in the process of changing out the block. I am sure that they will work with you and try to rectify the situation or clarify the issues.
