Not at all, for two reasons:
1. Bass is more or less non-directional; that is, your ears can't tell where low frequencies are coming from.
2. It has to filter through the seatback and the other airspace before it gets to your ears, so whatever little directionality it has gets filtered out. It still retains the sound level, though.
As a note, I removed the 6x9's that are in the rear deck. I left the speaker covers there but removed the speakers themselves. This lets a bit more of the bass through.
