Single or Dual Exhaust Thread

Hey guys hows it going, ok i was just looking around the web and saw a couple single muffler g35's with the hks ti muffler going out of the side, and i was driving around and saw a few s2000's with the single canister instead of the dual and it looks awesome, and realisticly if you don't have enough money for the true dual, wouldn't it be reasonable to have a hks muffler for example, and get a custom mandrel bent tubing to the y pipe, just a thought, i haven't seen many, or any people with that on this forum, so please don't flame, just a though

3 s2000's

350z

some other single exit systems

ok another 350z

just a couple pics to look at to get an idea of what i am talking about it, the dual exhaust is just for looks unless you go true dual which will run about $1200-$1600 roughly. Let me hear from you guys, and no flaming please

I would still go for dual exhaust. The single cannister just doesn't look right to me. Plus, all of them look like "fart cans". This isn't a flame. This is just me telling you my opinion.

I'm not sure how it is on the 350z, but the G35 has two carved out sections in the body that fit the two exhaust pipes. If you don't have a pipe in that contour, it just doesn't look right.

I have the Evo 2 not exactly true dual but I just love the gains I got from it. I got it used for $650 installed I jumped on it right away.

I personlly like the dual exhaust for our rides, and more than that, the true dual.
These days tho, the single systems get the same performance and scavanging as the dual systems.

thank you, yes they do get the same performance until you get a true dual, but i would rather not spend $1500 on a true dual, screw that

Would you happen to know the diameter of the piping where the Greddy EVO2 merges into one pipe?

i have the apex'i N1 on my g35 but it came off a 350z.....i got it used for 600$ and all i had to do was extend the straight pipe a little bit to make it fit because the 350z is shorter then the G

the sound is incredible....love it and ill try to put up a sound clip and i like how it looks too

oh yea and its not a true dual but has dual canisters just to let you know

The logic being that 2 fart cans look better than 1? I showed my fiance (who is Asian American) those exhausts and she exclaimed "must be one of those rice boys....why do they do that to their cars?"

Also, you are sure to spend more than 1.5 K on the custom system you envision.

Get in on the Fast Intentions group buy for their Intimidator exhaust.

ok Dr. Jitsu lets do a little math ok? I get the apexi mufflers for about $400 for the pair, then just getting a custom mandrel bent piping to the y pipe would only cost about $100, Where do you get $1,500 from?

I get wholesale prices for everything because i work at a performance shop as well, and i know how to weld and all of that good stuff, but i would just need a custom mandrel bent tubing from the muffler to the y and i'm good.
