I was racing a 350z and about 120 my car shut off, steering wheel locked and no power anywhere i pushed the clutch and restarted, but it was ****in scary and all i have is a cold air intake....anyone know whats going on?

 

It's happened to a handful of people. I'm guessing you have an Injen CAI cause that's what all the people who had problems had as their CAI. I believe most people experienced it because they accidentally put the car into neutral while on the highway, which doesn't sound like your situation.

 

yup... same thing happened to me but i shifted to neutral... wont do that again

 

Hmm... I have a 5at and I hit 152 today with no problem. It felt like my car could hit 160 with no problem. I have a cheapo ebay intake and nothing else...

 

127 mph here yesterday with injen cai but 5AT here also, no shut down thank goodness (2003.5 model)

 

i've hit up to 145-150 mph ..and no shut down .. i got a PC

 

ive hit mine all the way to 160 and felt i could keep going and no problems thank god cause i think id be screaming like eskeleton in nacho libre LOL if my g shut off at 160 LOL
