Just got back from getting my exhaust installed at Fast Intentions. Drove all the way home with my windows down in 100 degree heat.
I got to meet Tony, Rick and the whole team. Really knowledgeable bunch of guys. Install wasn't the smoothest. Tony had to cut my old exhaust out and also had to do some bodywork (FYI: those or you with the kurama-z diffuser will have to do a little trimming around the exhaust exit). Tony, maybe you should open up a bodyshop next door.
Tony is a perfectionist and it was a pleasure to have him work on my car. He kept readjusting the pipes till the exhaust tips were perfectly centered and even with the rear of the car. Speaking of adjustments, Tony test fit a new section of adjustable piping on my car that's located before the x-piping. He said it would help fine tune the placment of the exhaust and boy was he right. When I had my Stillen, one of the tips was a little lower than the other, but now my exhaust tips are perfectly placed.
Anyways, enough of the install story...Here's my review.
The exhaust is slightly quieter than the Stillen.
1)Cruising around: With my car being an automatic, my engine would spend a lot of its time between 1500 and 2500 rpm. At those rpms the cockpit would get really loud with the Stillen. With the Fast Intentions exhaust, it's a lot quieter.
2)Under acceleration: The Stillen did sound sweet under WOT but the Fast Intentions sounds just as good. It's just a different tone.
3)Overall the Fast Intentions exhaust sounds pretty mellow and smooth. I love it. If you want to wake up your neighbors from two blocks away, this exhaust is not for you but, if you want a mellow, smooth sounding exhaust that can get peoples attention when at WOT then this exhaust is for you.
