how bad is the torque loss
I am going to be upgrading my exhaust w/ a megan y pipe, an exhaust and possibly hi flow cats very soon. I have been doing a lot of reading in past threads and I am a little concerned about the torque loss that results from upgrading the exhaust system. Exactly how bad is it? One thing I love about the G is how i can just mash the gas pedal in the lower gears at low rpms and get a pretty good response. Will the car lose that feeling after these mods? Just wondering what to expect with this setup.
On a side note, what exhausts will fit with the y pipe? You can't have a y pipe and a true dual exhaust can u?

First off i'd scratch the megan Y-pipe, most people that got it said they didnt feel any difference. You can not have a y pipe the a TRUE dual exhaust, that's why all the Td exhaust come with an H or X pipe. With the exhaust and highflow cats you shouldnt have any loss in low end torque, mainly depending on which exhaust/cats you run.

You will not lose any noticeable tq down low if you do a regular exhaust setup with a y pipe....however if you do a TRUE DUAL exhaust you will lose a couple of ponies down low...probably 2-4 but you'll gain them back at the top and more
