Any disadvantage changing long arm vs short arm intake?

Any advise is greatly appreciated. I am currently have AEM long arm intake and will install the Injen exhaust today. I am thinking swap the long arm to short arm because it is a lot more easy to clean. Is there any disadvantage going from long to short intake?

Thanks.

actually you will probably gain a little power.the long tube aluminium cai,s get hotter then most people think and they create more turbulence.best bet is get rid of it and get the jwt popcharger or the stillen cai.
