Which is louder???

Which is louder???

A 350Z came in the shop the other day with a Stillen Catback Exhaust. Sounded decent at idle and when the customer revved it had acouple of pops as the rpm came down. Then she drove off. Not too terribly impressed with the volume. The tone was good.

Question is, I know how the catback sounds, how do high flow cats compare in sound volume and tone? I especially liked the popping noise.

I love the backfire-like sound...I rev my engine randomly for it when I had the nismo..

neither test pipes or hfc gives you the backfire-like sound
