The gaskets are needed for sure. Nuts and bolts are better to have, since re-using the old ones might not be as good (rusty).
They come with all new hardware, and new 2 bolt gaskets. You will reuse your stock 3 bolt gaskets...Tony

Is it a CARB OBDll COMPLIANCE CAT for the Ceramic and/or Metallic version?
Will our cars pass the emission test after replacing the cats?
Thanks.

were the HP gains posted above for the cats alone?

and will it pass a sniffer test? and OBDII test?

(I'm know it's not been emissions certified or anything - just wanna how much trouble it'll be to pass inspection each year here in NC)

The ceramic cats will pass a sniffer in most states, all depending how strict your smog testing is. Its 50/50 if they will pass the sniffer in California, but we are extremely strict. The Metallic is more of a race cat...Tony
(No they are not OBDII compliant.)

Tech article in this month's Import Tuner says metallic cats are better for FI applications where you need to run very "rich." Ceramic decomposition is accelerated in this mode.
In general they reported no real HP/TQ improvements with HFC's over today's OEM... then again they were testing a Honda.

???

It is true that Ceramic CATS could get soaked and have problems - Fast Intentions cannot warranty any CATS that are put on FI's for Nitrous cars, or other highly modified cars, as they can and likely will cause premature failures due to running too rich or lean. The Metallic CAT will be the longer lasting of the two in this case.
