gutted cats AF and gains

What kind of gains can you expect from gutting the stock cats? I don't want test pipes because I hate rasp, but from what I have read on here and my350z gutting the cats does not produce rasp.

Also, will doing this make the ECU start altering the air fuel ratio?? If so how do you prevent that?

Rather than gut and ruin your cats; which you will have to put back on the car to sell it, get a pair of resonated test pipes.
