Exhaust
You do have to keep in mind - drone and sound is completely personal. Everyone has their own opinion, desire, and tolerance of both levels. It's hard, without listening yourself, to really go by what other's say.

Also - ANY exhaust system that is worth anything, will be louder than stock. Some drone and some don't - however you will hear the exhaust note louder in the car no matter what.
An efficient and quality exhaust - will be designed to let ALL of the exhaust note out the tailpipes. Cheaper systems will drone, and that is when the mufflers or resonators actually leak the low tones through their skins and that tone bounces from the street back into the car.
The only thing you will want to be cautious about, is that systems that are louder (all of them) that do not drone (only a VERY few of them), but allow all of the tone to exit the tailpipes, may SEEM like they drone to some, as those low tones will creep back into the car from the truck area - as it is not the best insulated area of the car.
It's just something to watch for. If you truly DO NOT WANT ANY DRONE OR LIKE SOUNDS - then keep the stock exhaust system - add or have a Y-pipe built and installed with some high flow cats or resonated testpipes - you'll get more sound and ZERO drone tones. The factory muffler is very well packed and absorbs those tones VERY well.
And this coming from the manufacturer of a recommended system. If that's not an unbiased response - I don't know what is
