Exclamation MREV+ Vs. MREV2 Dynos?

Does anyone have any dynos on the revup motor comparing them? I'm looking specifically for a dyno of the same car dynoed with the MREV+ then the MREV2. I want to see if the MREV2 shows any gains over the MREV+ in a back-to-back test.

Thanks,
Anthony

Im not exactly sure, but I believe Mrev2 is for Rev-ups, and Mrev is for non rev-ups. Therefore gains will vary... in other words, dont compare the two since they are using two different types of engines (non rev-up, rev-up)

looks like you already have your answer...

imo i think people are way to obsessed with dyno numbers these days (sometimes myself included)

^^ +1, answered your own question.

As for obsessed w/ dyno numbers, it's always nice to know what kind of power you're actually putting to the ground after a mod.

Yea I made the same thread in my350z.com and someone just linked me that yesterday.

I think that you're crazy for not wanting to know the dyno numbers! That's the only way to tell if the mods you buy are worth it! How else are you supposed to know if you're going to gain any power? For example, this board is obsessed on mocking the "tornado" ... if there were know dynos to show how phony that was then everyone would be sitting around guessing.

And BTW ... I guarantee that you're losing a bunch of power (low-end torque mainly) when you have you're e-cutout open. That would be a nice example of why you should dyno before and after a mod! That is a serious waste of cash on a lower compression N/A car.

hey. the e cutout + 5/16 spacer (only real mods i have) let me keep up with my friends 06 6mt with a true dual exhaust system. stock for stock that thing has around 20whp more than me.

it also let me smoke a (what im assuming to be) stock 350z on the freeway two weeks ago up to 125 by at least 2 car lengths. then i stopped..cause i was really tired and 125mph + sleepiness = bad idea

and yeh i know im losing in the low end. thats why its an ecutout. i open and close it whenever i want
