I'd strongly suggest the AMSoil Filter for your Ztube. Connects to 3" pipe and 5" top of the cone.

if you plan on further modding your car, an aftermarket intake is a must
(i mean performance wise)
and if you're getting an intake, spend a little more and stay away from KnN drop in filter
my suggestion...apexi cone filter (is a dry system so you don't have to clean it with a special oil like most other filters)
if you want i'll sell you my used KnN drop in filter for $25

Can't speak for techi13, but I don't 'hate' them. But I think the AEM or Amsoil are the better way to go. NO OIL.
I used K&N for years on different cars, as well as TruFlow. Both use oil. The MAF sensor in the G is close to the filter element. Closer than other cars I've had.
So the I think the new fiber filters are a better way to go. They require maintenance too, but are long life and should be just as free breathing.
It's your machine, use what you want.
