what exactly does the crawford plenum do for your car? add power?

 

Yes it increases the air flow in the front 2 cylinders by about 20% or so. After I installed mine I could definatelly feel it. Its mostly at high rpms where you will notice it. Supposedly it puts out 10hp and about 20hp at redline. I'd say from a butt dyno thats about right.

does the crawford plenum increase noise within the car? is it noticable if my dad drives it? my dad's really strict about me doing stuff to my car so i'm doing stuff that he wouldnt be able to hear. for example: grounding kit and k&n drop in air filter. Thats about it. A little help please.

hehe... plenum will not only make the engine bay look different but it was also make more "noise"... Usually more air in = more air out = more "noise" you hear. Some call it noise but I call it music If you can't mod your car for performance gains, I say buy some sway bars and at least have fun driving it... even more so than now.

 

how much louder though? will it really make that big of a difference? any sound clips or pics of what it looks like?
