i dont remember how much more but it wasnt that much more...maybe 50 bucks or so?

its 300 cell doesnt make that much of a difference at all..its a mental thing lol

and on the slim chance that i ever go f/i then these will hold up better. the metallics are recommended for f/i

if i got ceramics and went f/i then i would have to go through the trouble of taking them off, selling them, losing some money, and getting new ones

so the slight price difference was not a big deal at all to me

400 Cell Ceramic:
It is a honeycomb style ceramic brick. They are essentialy an upgraded version of stock cats. They are much less restrictive then stock cats but don't flow as well as the Metallic's do.

The ceramics are holding up fine - but understand I have only been FI for a little over 2 months.

The issue you will have with ANY CAT when FI is the lean and rich issue. They both increase the level and speed of degredation - but that turn out to be another maintenance item really.

For FI - ideally - the Metallic is the way to go.

Why haven't you switched over to metallics or test pipes? I am currently running resonated test pipes, but I am getting a little tired of them. Thing is, I can get the FI ceramic cats barely used and very cheap from a friend.

Because I love the sound and have no problems...

I had testpipes before, but with headers and NA buildup, etc...it was just too loud for me.

So I will be ok with ceramics and the Vortech? I might lose a couple hp vs. the metallics?

aHero - lol, you didn't even come to the meet you first told me about. I'll try to make it this coming week.
