Hi,

Where does the circle part connect? I don't see the connection int the DIY instruction.

Thanks.

Re: Z tube connection

That connects to the tube that you removed (used to connect to the top of the old duct) .

Re: Z tube connection

Thanks,

I installed it today. Feel great. It feel like the car is breathing much more smoothly now. Why Infiniti choose to put the resonator in is beyond me. It sound just a tag louder, not enough to ruin the "luxury" feeling. My wife didn't notice it when we went out for the drive.

Re: Z tube connection

The resonator makes the intake be more quiet compared to the Z's intake -- all-out sports car v. luxury sports sedan compromise. Plus, someone mentioned in another thread that the lower resonator actually improves throttle response at freeway speeds, and that he could feel the difference.

Re: Z tube connection

Why would the resonator improve throttle response at freeway speeds? You'd think improved air flow would would be the consistent factor with the z-tube, though I guess in theory, at certain harmonic frequencies, there might be some improvement in momentary air volume, but even then, it should be negated at others which would still make the airflow the most important factor.

Re: Z tube connection

Also by having the air sit in the resonator it gets warmer.
