Best Intake??

I have an '05 Sedan 6MT (stock), and looking through these forums, it seems that almost all intakes take power away from the lower rpms, and the only gains are very high in the power band. Many people talk about Stillen's CAI (coupled with a Z tube), an AEM, or an Ijen... What's the best? Is the sound the same in each of the three, or is there a distinct difference in tone? Then there is also the questoin of whether or not it's worth the cost..(??).. I'm looking to buy one before Christmas, and any help would be great.

Thanks!

stillen airbox with ztube for 5at. according to rick this will give you all the power without losing any down low.

injen cai for 6mt. rick says youll lose some down low but youll clutch through it anyway.

they all sound different imo. but youll like them all (i do)
search it next time

word word!

and i'm guessing youre going to ask what a ztube is

it's the intake tube from a 350z and it is a direct replacement for the stock g tube

regardless, youll enjoy the stillen

I just installed the AEM CAI and I haven't noticed any major loss in power. I know that it is not the CAI of choice but I haven't had any problems with it. Also, if you live an area like SoCal with the exception of Long Beach you'll probably never find yourself in a hydrolock situation unless you intentionally drive your car into a 9" puddle. Also, in regards to effectiveness the air bypass valve I found this article that some might find interesting.

Oh yeah, if you really want to get hardcore with the performance, Rick recommended to me to get the z-tube with the Stillen CAI and thermal wrap the whole thing. I may go that route after I start really getting into modifying my G but for now the nice sound of the AEM will suffice.

Sorry for hijacking the thread but I'm wondering if the JWT popcharger exactly the same for the 350z and G35.
My friend is selling his (350z) and I don't know if it will fit on the G35?
Thanks
