Stillen and Crawford

Anyone have the Stillen dual with Crawford HFC's? I'm thinking of going with that setup and would like to hear a clip if anyone has that or has the capability of making a sound clip....and yes I've used the search.

LOL - tons of folks are on this forum.

I would guess that no one has that setup.

I have the same exact setup!

Crawford Plenum, HFC, Stillen TD Exhaust!

I have been meaning to take a sound clip. Hopefully this weekend. My feedback is that it sounds sick and turns heads. Very throaty and not too loud (But I like loud, not tin can farty loud, deep.... throaty loud).

When the exhaust is cold, there is a slight tinny sound/raspiness but once you drive for 5 minutes, it's gone and sounds amazing. MY GF loves the way the G sounds and makes me keep it in the upper rev range all the time! LOL

If you want to keep it quiet, I just keep it under 3K and it's not much louder than stock.

Interesting.

I also was looking into the same exact set-up myself.

On a scale of 1-10, how much louder are the cats/Stillen over just the Stillen....10 being most loud.

Thanks.

I decided on teh Crawfordz due to the fact they are ceramic, not metal.

There are a few threads expressing concern of rattling, and weird noises on the FI cats (both ceramic and metal).

I am also aware of the threads on the Crawford cats doing this, but not as many people seem to have the issue. I have read quite a few threads complaining about rattling, but it seems to be fixed by bending the heat shield....

When I got mine I only had the choice of RT which I knew sucked, Kinetix which weren't much better, and Crawford. Since I purchased the Crawford plenum from Doug already and knew he was stand up guy and backs his products, there was just no choice but to go with the crawfords!

I'll take a soundclip and post it this weekend.

I did the Stillen and cats at the same time so I can't really tell you how much louder the cats made the stillen. As long as you like a really mean growl that screams when opened up with a deep roar, you will love this set up!

Any requests for sound clips? I was planning on taking it after I warm the exhaust up of course and then do a Start up and idle with low revs (I will not rev an idling car that high. I can't believe some guys do that! It's a great way to spin a friggin bearing!)

After that I will do some runs...TAKE OFF....and a drive by in 2nd or 3rd

Any other requests, let me know now!

As long as you're taking requests...take a clip on startup cold...no need to rev it. Then also warm as you said with some revs. I'm going with this setup regaurdless though.
