JWT pop charger

does anyone have any experience with the JWT Pop Charger w/ Heat Shield. it can be seen here: http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=235
i remember hearing someone say that it is esentially the same thing as the Stillen high flow box. its got the venturi ring and everything, but it costs about half the price. personally, i like it because it takes air from the stock location, and it has a heat shield. the only concern I have with it is whether the heeat shield actually does anything as it looks like just a piece of bent metal. does it actually effectively block off a section of the engine compartment? or is it just a stupid piece of metal like what it looks like.
if paired with a ztube, this thing seems liek it has potential. any input guys?

I got that combo. The pop-charger and 350z-tube. Sounds great after 3k rpm when you're getting on it. Couldn't tell you if the heat-shield does anything, but it seems fine. There was an article in Car and Driver that stated "the cheapest intake (JWT pop-charger), also produces the best gains...

Plus the pop charger is actually dyno proven by the guys on teh my350z.com boards to make like 6 hp (if I remember correctly). That, in combination with the Z-tune is the best intake update (short of the plenum of course).

Re: JWT pop charger

Does anyone have pics of the new heat box for the JWT pop charger, the one that looks like the Stillen Air Box?

Wow, heat box? I would love some more info on this as well. Are you sure it's out, and it's for our car?!

Re: JWT pop charger

I am not sure JWT makes one for the G, it is something I read on the web. I am starting to think it is just the heat shield that was referenced, not an entire enclouser. I don't think JWT makes a heat box to mimic the Stillen.
