Stillen Exhaust Worth It?

I was wondering if you guys think that the Stillen exhaust is worth it. Plus I am wondering if I am the only one that thinks it sounded more high pitch on the sound clip? I had an 03 Coupe with a Borla exhaust and it was definitely throatier than that clip.

Riverside Infiniti quoted the Stillen exhaust for $1149. Kinda hard to justify paying so much for an exhaust that probably doesn't produce significant HP increase. Also not having a true dual exhaust. I was thinking about getting a quote from my local muffler shop thats been doing my custom exhausts on my over (domestic muscle) vehicles but since I've converted to an import wasn't sure what type mufflers to run. Any recommendations? Just my $0.02

I've been keeping an eye on 07 exhaust sytems. I talked with Stillen about their system. They are claiming 11Hp to the wheels and 12 ft-lb increase in peak torque. If you buy direct from them, its $1085.

I also know that several other mfrs are on the verge of releasing their systems. Aside from the subjective sound, Stillen made pretty good gains if you believe what their guy told me.

Personally, I'm waiting to see what the other guys are going to release. However, if you wanna be an early adopter, by all means, go for it!

i own a stillen exhaust for my 07' and i think its worth it...sound is great..noticeable gains in hp and torque..and makes my rear end look bad asssssssss

now if the questions here is if your too cheap and dont have the money to buy one then thats another story..but if you do have the money to buy one and you own an 07' i think its a no brainer..

The stillen exhaust for the 07 is only putting out 11HP damn they claimed about 20 for the 05 and when dynoed it was about 12HP increase after I changed the resonators to magnaflow.

I'd figure 3-4 hp for this system, if you're lucky.

I'd like to see someone build a true dual exhaust for this car. Stillen's is just a slightly enlarged version of the OEM system which seems like a waste. What I envision is no more y-pipe and just a true x-pipe or H-pipe with smaller resonators connecting to the stock mufflers. Why stock mufflers? Because the X/H-pipe will make for a volume increase and I highly doubt the OEM mufflers are that restrictive. This system should cost more than $400. As for gains, I have no idea, but it's worth a try.

You will gain about 5-8 hp from the Stillen Exhaust. It is a nice sounding exhaust for the G35 and is one of the two that have shown proven gains. Do a search for DaveO posts on this site and many other members who have tested them on dynos and at the track.

Please don't believe people who have never owned the system themselves that say they never gain power. And I refuse to mention names.

5-8 Hp for an 07? Interesting .. their guy told me 11 Hp / 12 ft-lbs just yesterday. Are you guys saying they're "exagerating" a bit? Granted ... I still have not seen any graphs for the 07 application.

Given the engineering time they must have put into this system, I have to believe there is a reason for configuring the system the way they did. There is certainly room down there do different things, but they chose not to which doesn't make sense. If they didn't try to get as much power out of their 07 sedan exhaust as possible, their competitors certainly will.

In any case, Stillen has a nice looking set up that's got a lifetime guarantee. I'm just holding out a little longer to see what else comes up.

They exagerated a bit on the 03-06 G35 Sedans as well.

Why would I need to buy a Chevy Cobalt to develop the opinion that it's a POS?

This is dumb: Some people are talking about the Stillen Exhaust for the COUPE, when the OP is asking for feedback on the 07 SEDAN.

I would try to help, but im not familiar with the Stillen exhaust for the 07 Sedan.

.
