Will y-pipes made for the z fit our G's?

Anyone know? Are Z and G's y pipes interchangeable or are they differnet lengths? I though the shorter length in the Z's exhaust was in the midpipe? Can anyone verify this?

the y pipes are interchangeable. The z's exhaust is shorter from the midpipe and back about 6-8 inches

Are there any negative effects (or no increase performance) of just swapping out the stock y-pipe w/ an aftermarket one and keepinng the midpipe and muffler stock?

if you get a jic y pipe you get some good gains.. cause the ypipe on the jic doesnt have 90degree bends like the stock so it makes the flow more efficiently.

^^Thx for the help! I'll either go w/ a full 3 piece exhaust or just the jic pipe

OK, so I actually got a good deal on a nismo y-pipe and have purchased that. Anyone know if my setup will be ok as is w stock mid pipe and muffler? I'll have 5/16 spacer, mrev2, nismo r-tune headers and then the nismo headers. Woudl I be better of w/ my setup w/ stock or nismo y-pipe? Anyone know if there would be any bottleneck at high rpm's with my setup w/ the nismo y-pipe?
